Wind arm

  • Make an Inquiry

*Part name: Wind arm

*Application: Wind speed measuring

*In material: Stainless steel 304#(Wnr. 1.4301)

*One version is suited for 2 kinds of sensor variants

*A cable routing through the tube

the cable routing hole on tube is intended to be made by laser cutting

*-Pg7 thead hole is off-centre on round component, the pg7 thread can't be made by CNC lathe.

If it was in center posiition, pg7 thead can be made by CNC lathe, not sure until test done.

-So far, all available pg7 thread taps are not good to overcome the hardness of 304# stainless steel

Solution still need be figured out how to make this pg7 thread.

-Laser cut hole Dia.14, the edge around the hole was hardened by laser, not easy to make thread by pg7 thread tap on this edge. Suggestion is firstly to laser cut hole Dia.5 ~ 8, secondly broaden the hole to Dia.11.4 by drilling, thirdly make pg7 thead.

-Stainless steel 304 F or 304L (Used where welding is required, parts require high grain boundary corrosion resistance, heat-resistant , or heat treatment is difficult.) is easy for thread making, however 2mm thickness seems don't belong to this series.

* For the left component, the semi-circular cut-outs should be located pretty much above each other after bending

*Wind arm version 5

Windholder in 304L stainless steel : Dimension 12 is reduced to 9.8 to improve the gaps between extended tube and bent tube assembly, wind arm mount and bent tube assembly)

Mount

---------------------

Extended tube (Left) ---------------------------- Bent tube(Right) (To correct the assembling holes mismatch problem bewteen some bent tubes and lock part, 1pc Ø3.3 at the bent end of bent tube has to be drilled larger at bending direction by around 1mm.
